We wrapped up CanUX 2007 on Tuesday but I'm still catching up on posting the presentations. Our own Jess McMullin closed the first day of CanUX with a talk on the business of experience.
I've seen this talk evolve over the past few months and it's getting more and more interesting every time. The core idea is that as designers, IAs, UX practitioners, etc., we can have more influence by coming up with better ways of working with business and increasing our business fluency. In other words, by focusing on the business as much as on the user. It's been great to see some of these ideas put into practice in accelerator workshops and the other group facilitation techniques Jess and Yvonne have been working on.
