UPA2007 REDUX: Becoming a Usability Coach: Proving Success One Champion at a Time

by Yvonne Shek
August 29, 2007 |

After speaking at the UPA annual conference in June, one of the attendees asked if I could do a redux for her colleagues over lunch. I agreed and we are opening it up to anyone else who might be interested.

Time: Wed, September 19, 12 noon - 1:30 pm, Central Time (90 minutes)

Place: Gatherplace.com. There are only 20 slots available for the call (2 have already confirmed, so that leaves 18 slots open). If you are interested, please email me: yvonne dot shek at nform dot ca and I will send you the call-in details.

Synopsis:
This talk is aimed at UX professionals who feel that their practice needs to go further, to deliver greater value and impact. To address this need, I will talk about coaching as a mindset and practice, drawing from the field of professional coaching. We will see how valued coaches sell usability, deliver value, and apply usability techniques. Part of this 90-minute presentation will be a case study featuring my clients from LearnAlberta.
