Trevor has been working in design and visual communication since 1994. After graduating with a degree in graphic design in 1998, Trevor worked as a senior designer with a progressive graphic design firm, providing design for print and the web, as well as copywriting, marketing and project management for a number of high profile clients. Through this work, he became increasingly interested in understanding his clients' goals and improving their communications. In 2001, he started his own independent graphic and interactive design firm to better service clients such as the University of Calgary.
In the continuing quest to broaden his knowledge of user experience approaches and interactive design, Trevor applies insights from anthropology and cognitive psychology in his design process. He also completed a Master's of Environmental Design in Industrial Design at the University of Calgary, focusing on design for emotion, interaction and usability for product interfaces.
Since then, he has presented on the topic of design and emotion at conferences both in North America and internationally. Trevor's insights on interaction, design and user experience contribute to successful client projects.
